Keep her in school this year for just $11!

Mai wants to be a teacher.  Each year YWAM Mercy Vietnam encounters children like Mai (not her real name) in the areas where we work who are at-risk of dropping out of school because their family does not have the small amount of money needed to provide them with school supplies, books, book bags and uniforms, or in some cases bicycles or school fees.  For most of these children a one-time gift of $11 can provide what is needed to keep them in school this year.  You can make a difference in the life of a child!

Education is a proven strategy for economic empowerment. However many families facing financial challenges struggle to provide the required educational supplies. When there isn’t even enough money to put food on the table, parents reluctantly withdraw their children from school.

Over the last 14 years YWAM Mercy Vietnam has provided educational supplies for over 8500 children.

All of the money raised will go directly to purchasing educational supplies (less processing/currency exchange fees of about 8-10%). Local Vietnamese people in the communities where the children live will provide all the labor to purchase, organize and distribute the supplies as well as, with the help of our staff, to fairly select the children who receive assistance.

YWAM Mercy Vietnam has been working to reduce poverty in northern Vietnam since 1989 and is a registered International Non-Governmental Organization (INGO) with the Vietnamese People's Aid Co-ordinating Committee (PACCOM) .  Learn more about YWAM at ywam.org    and more about YWAM Mercy Vietnam at www.ywammercyvietnam.org .

Thank you for considering joining us in helping Vietnamese children continue their education toward a brighter future!
